Mzansi Magic Reveals New Drama Series Called The Republic
Mzansi Magic is television station in South Africa, the channel is a general entertainment channel available in digital satellite and was created by Multichoice and is currently being run by a local division of M-Net, the TV station is broad-casted in South Africa on DStv.
The channel is proving to be interesting and entertaining as is is about to premier a new local drama which is titled “The Republic”, and is expected to be aired on Sunday, 7 July 2019. The TV series is supposed to resonate with the SA audience because of its timeless and useful story line which is relevant in current-day current affairs. From the official statement of the producers, reality motivates fiction in the drama The Republic, and it is meant to represent South Africa as of today.
From the stoyline, it lines with the 2009’s president elect Kgalema Motlanthe who ended his tenure in after he was replaced by the next President, Hendrik Mbuli whose presidency was filled up with looting of public funds and many other corruptions. Later on, Mbuli was relieved of his duty as the president and then he makes his way to become the secretary general of his the party, then Lufuno, took over the duties of president. The story then forwards to Present Mulaudzi who already spent two years in cubbing and reducing corruption, he fought bravely and prosecuted those who gained in a wrong way from the Mbuli led presidency, which included Mbuli himself.
The upcoming TV series includes political storyline filled with vengeance, it’s a drama filled series which shows the acts trying hard to outsmarting each other just to survive.
According to the statement from the movie’s Head of Publicity and production, Philly Kubheka, he revealed that The Republic is supposed to be exceptionally wonderful as it is mainly South African. He also revealed that it does reflect the current state of the country, South Africa and has joined together a wonderful and captivating story line from it’s producers and creators.
The Republic will feature some veteran actors like Florence Masebe who acted as the South African President Lufuno, Warren Masemola who also represented Thabang Manaka and finally Masasa Mbangeni whose stage name was Bridget Ranaka.
